Misty also suggests going for a mid-to-dark blonde with complex gold tones left within, rather than completely stripping the pigment from the hair. Reds and red-browns are also set to be big this autumn. Misty recommends cinnamon browns, deep auburns, orange-reds, and strawberry blondes.
Crimson reds are perfect for a bolder, cool-girl colour. Baby lowlights are in right now, too. They're great for people who want to darken their hair gradually without committing to a severe change. This technique can also create medium, warm blondes that are low maintenance.

Celebrities like J-Lo have been seen rocking this type of hair colour, and it's predicted to be a big trend for autumn in Sydney.

Chocolate and mocha brunettes will also be huge this autumn, along with shadow roots or the “root smudge.” This technique incorporates root regrowth as a key component of beautiful autumn hair colour. Instead of root to end highlights, the trend is to create a deeper base with lighter mids to ends for a more shadowed root and less of an ombre. This technique gives the illusion of big, full hair, and it's perfect for people who want a low-maintenance style.
If you want to try something new, Misty suggests a golden hour bronde. This look features warm shades of blonde, brunette, and caramel with dimension. Misty also recommends adding a pop of warmth to normally one-toned hair colour. She suggests caramel and gold shades, which are more complimentary to skin tones and give hair a much healthier look.
"Curly hair that has been coloured can be especially prone to dryness and frizz during the cooler months. To combat this, be sure to use a deep conditioner regularly and avoid over-washing your hair.
