Meet the hands

Three sets of hands, one standard. A real consultation, honest advice, and colour mixed for you.

Joe, founder and lead stylist

Joe Orlowski

Founder & Lead Stylist

Joe started cutting hair on his brother and never really stopped. Over twenty years later, after honing his craft in London and styling for Australian Fashion Week, he built Stanley & Co in Redfern and named it for his grandfather, the barber who started it all.

His obsession is structure. Where most cutters just take off length, Joe reads the grain, the weight and the way your hair actually grows, then works with it instead of against it. He is a lead educator for Mr. Smith, at home with thick and coarse textures, and will always give you one honest observation over three polite ones.

Gabriella, colourist and makeup artist

Gabriella Di Mascia

Colourist & Makeup Artist

Gabriella grew up in Molise and started hairdressing at fifteen, training in Rimini and Milan at Aldo Coppola, GH Hair and Jean Louis David. She worked backstage at Milan Fashion Week and coloured for Italian Vogue before bringing that eye to Sydney and to Stanley & Co.

She is the colourist who spots the thing nobody else noticed and quietly fixes it. Across every texture, from soft balayage to full colour correction, she listens first and tailors the result to your face, your life and how much you actually want to do at home. Honest over flattering, every time.

Gidget, hairdresser

Gidget Newman

Hairdresser

Gidget is the lived-in blonde specialist: hand-painted balayage, root smudging and multi-dimensional colour that moves and never leaves a hard grow-out line. They work across every base, from dark to grey to icy, caramel and buttery.

The philosophy is simple, your blonde, your rules. Gidget builds low-maintenance colour for real life and tells you exactly how to keep it looking good, usually salon-quality product and the occasional tone, with ten to twelve weeks between refreshes. No overselling, no nonsense.
