It’s the season for a hair colour refresh and we’re seeing many of our clients opting for warmer tones, as the forecast is stormy weather this summer. Instead of opting for light blonde, go for the deep bronde brunette hue with warm, buttery blonde highlights. Or a fondant brunette that has been sunkissed, adding some sexy yet spicy highlights.
Nothing expresses a positive shift this wet season more than a fresh hair colour and haircut. You could even transition from blonde (or medium hues) to a chocolate-inspired shade similar to Kim Kardashian or what about Margot Robbie’s darker hair hue with that touch of sun-kissed 'bronde'.
We always recommend having a consultation with Misty or Rae before you tackle a change in your hair colour, so they can identify what will suit your look best. Also letting your colourist know a little about your lifestyle works as well to ensure you get the best out of your colour.
We take into account your eye colour and skin tone when deciding on your hair colour, and if you're changing your cut, because you don’t want our hair stylists Joe or Tara to cut out the new highlights or colour.
Similar to many celebrities this season as changing it up like Khloe Kardashian gave her blonde waves a pumpkin spice upgrade. Even Priyanka Chopra’s new balayage brings a touch of near-blonde to the actress’s long hair. It’s the caramel macchiato to Kardashian’s pumpkin spice which brings out her eyes.
Our colourists like to incorporate soft features for hair using a lighter brunette tone, or warmer spicy blonde tones with strategic placement to give hair natural movement, without losing the foundational brunette or blonde colour.
What is Fondant Brunette?

Well, it's a new style of balayage colouring that darker locks are sure to love.
In our salon, we use a haircut that is more layered and therefore balayage colouring has a layered effect. This way the hair has dimension and contrast, and accentuates texture and free flowing. It screams sophistication when hair has rich tones.
Then you base it with a warmer, lighter French balayage pouring out from the layers like a self-saucing chocolate fondant. It gives a natural brunette an intense spicy tone that blends seamlessly to add shine and moisture. If you go for a caramel balayage like Chopra’s, you’ll be sure to feel glamorous yet natural this season.
This hair transformation looks amazing on straight and curly hair, and requires less effort than other highlights would.
Book in for a tone or gloss service 4-5 weeks to top up the stunning hue and keep your colour going for longer.
You can emphasise your colour with a stylish Boyfriend bob hair cut, or butterfly layers so the colour highlights draws attention to the features in the face you want to highlight, just like makeup.
In trusting Joe or Tara’s ability to cut the length of the hair to suit the colour and your face shape. The team at Stanley & Co hair has your back.
Make sure if you're looking to change your hair colour, to reach out to Misty or Rae to help guide you.
